I started with hammer throwing, track and field, and german heavyevents in 1979. My personal best in hammer throwing is 64.45 meters, achieved in 1995. I gained my first experience with Highland Games in 1999 at a rustic competition in the Palatinate region. I participated in my first traditional Games in 2005. My biggest successes were a third-place finish at the MWC 2009 in Inverness and the German Championship in the A category in 2011.
Since 2009, I have been the chairman of our local sports club and served as co-organizer and sports director of the 2018 World Championship in Stuttgart.
