Notes:
This was a tough class all day long. Both Jeremy and Derek were competing in their first games and had some very respectable throws for not having seen many of these events before. Well done gents!
|
Records:
Columbus keeps c class records. All the records were broken. Jeremy (stone & light hammer) Derek in (28# throw & 16# sheaf) & Jeff 56# throw. Jeremy also set the Games record in the open stone with an extra throw at 50' 9" (Lannie Pullon 43' 5" 2006)

Notes:
Mike Shea & Rhett Bobzien were looking good all day long and looked more than ready for the MWC. Congratulations Mike on Athlete of the Day honors!
|
Records:
Mike attempted the World record in the 42# WOB in 50 mile an hour cross winds and a blinding rain. It started as Mike was throwing at 16'. Nice crowd pleasing attempt!

Notes:
Congrats to Dawn And Pam for being the first women to compete in Columbus. This was Dawn's second games and Pam's first. I think Pam just needs a better coach (Sorry Lannie!)
