Thistle Day Highland Games & NYS Championship

Thistle Day is quickly becoming a favorite place to throw in NY! Join us for this small town festival featuring all 9 events and all amateur and masters classes (including juniors and adaptive). This year Thistle Day will play host to the New York State Championship! More info below. Off the competition field we will also be putting on the kids games once again, and there will be lots of local vendors, food trucks, breweries, distilleries, live music, bagpipes, sheep herding demonstrations, fireworks, and more.

When: Saturday 9/27, rain or shine

Camping is available on site.

NYS Championship: The winner of each class earns bragging rights as the state champ for that class, but we will also be using decathalon scoring to compare each athlete to the world records for his/her own class. These separate scores will be used to crown one top-dog state champion! Since the NYS Championship was born from the Buffalo Heavies we will be sticking to their rule- Anyone from anywhere is welcome to register and compete, but only NY residents can walk away with the title.
