Wood Ridge Highland Games and Blue Ridge Championships

The second annual Wood Ridge Farm Highland Games and FIRST Blue Ridge Championship. We will do our best to host as many classes as possible. If you want specific breakdowns ie: am B, am A instead of open amateur we need to be able to fill those classes and justify extra staff. Blue Ridge Championship flights will be INVITE ONLY. We will be inviting the top two men and women from every state the Blue Ridge runs through based on their Heavy Athlete rankings as of August 1, 2025 as well as the top two amateur men and women at Wood Ridge the previous year. Prize money for the Championship flights is as follows: Overall placing- 1st- $100, 2nd- $75, 3rd- $40, 4th- $30, 5th- $25. $20 for every event win.

The states being considered for the champion ship are: PA, MD, VA, NC, SC, TN, GA. This needs to be your state of residency to be considered for an invite! Or come place top two in the Open Ams and get invited next year. If someone from the top 2 is unavailable I may move down but only if I think that athlete is competitive enough.

This is a TWO DAY GAME, flights are listed below and will be final once registration closes. If there is enough interest we can add more flights to Sunday. SAT 9/20: Pro men & women, Blue Ridge Champion men & women, Amateur women. SUN 9/21: Am men, Masters men & women, Lightweight men & women. I will cap class sizes at a certain point (likely 15 or so). If you want to sign up for any of the Open, LW, or Masters classes do not wait.

Throwing will begin at 10am each day and we are concluding around 6pm. Lunch and shirts are provided. The lunch will likely be a normal human sized lunch. If you need more pack it.
